Each year, disasters around the world kill nearly 100,000 and affect or displace 200 million people. Many of the places where these disasters occur are literally 'missing' from any map and first responders lack vital information to make valuable decisions regarding relief efforts. Missing Maps is an open, collaborative project in which you can help to map areas where humanitarian organisations are trying to meet the needs of vulnerable people. To celebrate GIS Day 2017, thinkWhere is holding a Missing Maps event. Anyone with an interest in this worthy cause can participate. All you need to do is bring you and your laptop along to the thinkWhere offices on Wednesday 15th November, and from 6pm to 7:30pm we'll show you what to do to help capture some of this vital Missing Map project information.Places are limited. What Our Clients Say...
"I really like the fact that the thinkWhere team is made up of GIS professionals rather than just people who answer and log a phone call. It means that they’re able to immediately provide expert advice and they truly understand the importance of dealing with issues promptly and effectively!"
