thinkWhere now an Employer Partner of CodeClan Scotland
thinkWhere is delighted to announce it is now an Employer Partner of CodeClan Scotland. As an Employer Partner, we join over 100 businesses in Scotland helping support CodeClan graduates in their transition from student to potential employee.
According to a recent ScotlandIS survey, medium-sized businesses reported an 88% demand for software and web development skills in 2016. As Scotland’s first digital skills academy, CodeClan brings together a diverse and inclusive community of employers, students, alumni and industry supporters. The CodeClan mission is to train and upskill a new generation of digital talent by kick-starting its students’ careers as job-ready programmers in the digital industry.
CodeClan software development courses are intensive and accelerated lasting just a few days up to 16 weeks. Training involves immersive learning, inspirational talks, project-based work, creative problem solving with a high instructor to student ratio. Following completion of training courses, CodeClan new programming talent aims to supplement the skills of 84,000 people who currently work in digital technology roles across Scotland.
In a few weeks, we'll be introducing thinkWhere to current CodeClan students - to inspire and broaden the students' knowledge of software development and programming in a GIS specific digital industry.
