To help reassure our customers that thinkWhere systems are protected against commodity based cyber-attack, we have recently taken steps to ensure our ICT defences comply with the principles of the UK Cyber Essentials BIS/14/696 scheme. We are delighted to announce we are now Cyber Essentials certified following a recent independent audit of our systems.
UK Cyber Essentials BIS/14/696 is a government-backed cyber security certification scheme. The scheme sets out an effective and appropriate baseline of cyber security suitable across all businesses sectors. Under the scheme (through the proper implementation of a number of key controls), the threat of common internet-based cyber-attacks is said to be reduced by around 80%.
Areas covered by the audit assessed security, controls and measures surrounding boundary firewalls/ internet gateways, configuration, access, malware protection and patch management.
Thanks to Lithium Systems and the thinkWhere team for their involvement in the audit, and in helping us achieve certification.
What Our Clients Say...
"I really like the fact that the thinkWhere team is made up of GIS professionals rather than just people who answer and log a phone call. It means that they’re able to immediately provide expert advice and they truly understand the importance of dealing with issues promptly and effectively!"
